A different kind of brain care

Most brains are working much harder than they should have to.

The mental fatigue that doesn’t lift after rest. The anxiety that runs as background noise. The fog that makes simple thinking feel like wading through mud. These aren’t character flaws — they’re patterns in how your brain networks are communicating. And patterns can be measured. Patterns can be changed.

Measured

14-network mapping & qEEG show what’s actually happening — not guesses or labels.

Tracked

Daily diary + AI feedback transform raw data into momentum and clarity.

Adjusted

Your protocol adapts based on how your brain is shifting — every visit.

Guided

Every tier is designed and overseen personally by Dr Ash Connell.

Your clinical partner

“It’s your brain we’re working with, so it’s your story we follow.”

Welcome. I’m Dr Ash. Choosing to do this with us means a lot, and we don’t take that for granted. From here on, every call we make about your care is based on what’s actually happening in your brain — not on a label, a guess, or what worked for someone else.

Every entry you make in the daily platform keeps us in the loop. Every data point helps us fine-tune what we do next time you’re in the chair. And honestly, if something feels confusing, just ask — pop a message through the portal, call the clinic, or grab one of the team. We work with your GP, psychologist or psychiatrist rather than around them, so please keep them in the loop too.

Inside the 12-week programme

What happens in the clinic.

A 12-week in-clinic programme built around 19-channel qEEG brain mapping, swLORETA neurofeedback, biofeedback and a personalised daily protocol — measured at the start, refined every day, re-measured at the end.

Week 1

Map your brain

A quiet 19-channel qEEG and full assessment establish your baseline, with your first biofeedback session and a calm chat about the weeks ahead.

Weeks 2–10

Build & train

Dr Ash translates your map into a personalised protocol. swLORETA targets, biofeedback, neuro-nutrition and functional neurology — all refined by your daily diary.

Week 11

Reassess

A second qEEG shows what’s changed — the pattern shifts, the network rebalancing — and we adjust anything that needs tweaking.

Week 12

Comparison & next steps

A full comparison report — your Week 1 map beside your Week 11 map. What’s improved, what’s still moving, what to focus on next.

Before you arrive

How to prepare for your first appointment.

Plan for about 60 minutes in clinic. The recording itself is short and entirely non-invasive — most of the visit is consent, setup, and a calm chat to settle your nervous system. The qEEG is sensitive to caffeine, product residue and a tired nervous system, so a little prep helps.

Helps the recording

  • Wash hair the night beforeNo gel, oil or dry shampoo — residue interferes with the sensor signal. Plain shampoo is fine.
  • Eat a light meal an hour or two beforeA settled, fed nervous system records more cleanly than a hungry one.
  • Continue prescribed medication as normalDon’t skip a dose — just bring a current list, including timing, to inform the read-out.
  • Arrive 5–10 minutes earlyLet the nervous system settle, and wear something comfortable you can sit still in.
  • Complete the pre-appointment questionnaire15 minutes on your portal — it informs the conversation before the recording.

Affects the signal

  • Caffeine, energy drinks or pre-workoutNone within 4 hours beforehand. Decaf is fine.
  • Alcohol or recreational substancesPlease avoid the night before your appointment.
  • Strenuous exerciseAvoid within an hour of the appointment.
  • Hair product, earrings or clipsAnything that interferes with the cap — bring a jumper for comfort instead.
  • Stopping medications without adviceNever stop a medication without your prescribing doctor’s input.

What people say

Feedback about the experience.

Booking, communication, environment. We don’t publish feedback about clinical outcomes — and we explain why below.

“Booking online was effortless and the confirmation email actually told me what to bring.”

Booking · Camperdown

“The clinic is calm and considered. Nothing felt rushed or transactional.”

Environment · Geelong

“Every email is signed by a real person. I never had to chase anything.”

Communication · Telehealth

In line with AHPRA’s advertising guidelines for regulated health services, we publish service feedback only — never testimonials regarding clinical care, symptoms, diagnoses, or outcomes. Statistics on this page describe the clinic’s instrumentation and history — never patient outcomes.

Common questions

Honest answers.

How often will I come into the clinic?

One in-clinic session per week across the 12 weeks of Tier 3. Weeks 1 and 11 are longer qEEG recording days (about 60 minutes). A typical mid-programme visit pairs a 15-minute swLORETA neurofeedback session with a 10-minute biofeedback session. Your coordinator locks in a recurring weekly time after Week 1.

Does qEEG, neurofeedback or biofeedback hurt?

No. All three are entirely non-invasive. The qEEG simply records your brain’s natural electrical rhythms through sensors in a swim-cap-style headset. Neurofeedback gives your brain live information about itself — nothing is delivered to your brain. Biofeedback reads nervous-system signals while you follow a paced visual. There’s no pain, and you can drive home straight afterward.

Can I keep seeing my GP, psychologist, or psychiatrist?

Absolutely — and we’d encourage it. We work alongside your existing care team, not instead of them. Dr Ash is registered with AHPRA as a chiropractor, with additional certifications in qEEG, neurofeedback and biofeedback. We’re a complement to your medical and psychological care, never a replacement.

What does the daily diary actually involve?

About two to three minutes a day on your portal — sleep, mood, focus, energy and stress. It’s the through-line of the whole programme: those trends become protocol inputs, so what we do in clinic each week is shaped by how you’re actually living between visits.

How is my data handled?

Your data is handled under the Australian Privacy Principles and is never sold. qEEG findings, biofeedback baselines and your reports are archived in your portal and exportable at any time.

Do I have to start with Tier 3?

Not at all. Most people begin with the free Brain Snapshot or the $67 Tier 1 assessment, then decide what’s next. From there, most people continue with a Certified NeuroZen Practitioner (NeuroZen Guided Biofeedback), step up to Tier 2, or book the clinic’s 12-week programme — your data carries forward whichever way you go.
